Spiders

Some people treasure spiders as pets, while others get creeped out by them. Spiders are spread all over the world both in open nature and in our homes. There are thousands of species, some more venomous than others, to the point that they can kill a man in a matter of minutes. All spiders create silk and design complex webs in which they catch their prey, climb and lay eggs, despite their incredible diversity.

All spiders depend on their venom for survival. Spiders hunt and defend themselves using their venom. From the many thousands species only about two hundred actually represent a threat to human health. They have adapted to the harshest of environments from the desert and the tropics to the Arctic areas where they can live underwater, which makes these creatures incredible.

The general myth people know in terms of gender relationships is that male spiders are famous for being killed right after intercourse. Relatively smaller than the females, the male spiders of certain exotic species are indeed sacrificed for the perpetuation of their breed. Nevertheless, this is not a general rule as in most cases, both males and females survive the encounter.

Well adapted to various living conditions spiders use great camouflage, and they even imitate other species for survival. Most species have six or eight eyes disposed in various groupings on the body. Certain eyes are even more specialized than the others, not to mention the fact that there are also blind eye pairs that are located in various places on the articulate bodies of these creatures.

Spider webs have a particular imprint of their own and are the distinct mark of spiders: thus, some create sheet webs, others spiral webs, not to mention the true mazes that some dangerous species design as deadly traps for their prey. The distinct tangled web the black widow makes is a clear example. Yet, spiders also create webs for the protection of their nests. Spiders also produce webs above their homes to protect themselves from aerial predators.

The giant tarantula is a famous example of a spider that does not depend on webs for survival. Though they can produce silk threads, they are however hunting their prey down by using the ambush method. Tarantulas often make great pets for spiders lovers, even though they are extremely venomous and dangerous. So, don't be surprised if you see such a hairy creature in a friend's aquarium.

Minister of Trade and Economic Development blames ministers for failure of mega projects

Minister of Trade and Economic Development Mohamed Jaleel has said that mega projects designed to generate additional funds to the state budget failed due to lack of support from some members of the cabinet.

Minister Jaleel made the statement speaking at the Majlis sitting held yesterday. When members repeatedly asked for the names of those ministers Minister Jaleel declined.

Minister Jaleel noted that those projects designed to generate funds for the budget can only be commenced once the Majlis endorses the Bill on Special Economic Zone. He said the earliest the projects can be tendered is some time in November this year, following the endorsement of the Bill on Special Economic Zone. He estimated that even if work goes at that fast pace, earliest the government will be able to any funds will be early next year as tender evaluations, notifications of awards and many other arrangements have to dealt with.

Jaleel said the delay in finalizing the projects are for varied reasons but mainly due to in ability to reach decisions following discussion stage.

Speaking at the Majlis on the current economic crisis facing the country Jaleel expressed that it was important, as in other parts of the world to allocate special economic zones, to provide the opportunity to investors to invest in activities approved by the Majlis and to make available such zones for period exceeding 50 years, so that investors may invest with confidence. He further said government has assigned trade ministry to coordinate all aspects of 3 such projects, Hulhumale’ Phase 2, Gulhifalhu Project and Ihavandhihpolhu Integrated project.

“These are policies which are introduced for the very first time and as such practical implementation of such policies require an administrative system and legal framework, we have already finalized an implementation policy and a legal framework has been drafted and submitted to the Majlis for your attention, the draft also include the administrative procedure necessary for the implementation of these kinds of activities” Minister Jaleel said.

The Finals:

As usual Federer was the favorite to lift the Wimbledon title this year, but it was not going to be easy.Rafa was on an unbeaten run and they both faced off each other in the finals of the All england Lawn Championship.Rafa started off well and surprisingly won the first two sets. Then we saw some of the greatest plays that Fedex has ever played. He came back from two sets down to win the next two sets and there by made the match to go to the fifth and final set.Federer saved some championship points and there were some great volleys. But eventually Rafa won the match 9-7 in the fianl set.I can not take Federer's defeat. He played so well but as usual luck was not on his side.I turned off the TV as soon as the Last point was played and could not bear to watch the Prize ceremony.

Agassi Vs Sampras=Nadal Vs Federer:

Yesterday the world witnessed the greatest match ever to take place in a tennis court.Yes it was the Wimbledon finals between ROger federer(Fedex) and Rafael Nadal. After the retirement of Andre Agassi i became the fan of Federer. He was so cool and his shots(especially back hand winners) were really breath taking. There was no player in the world that could match him(except on clay) from 2002 to 2005.He had some bad luck on clay. Then came the spaniard Rafael Nadal, who was young and was filled will raw power and aggression. But even Rafa could not beat the fedex express on grass. He was able to beat him only on clay.Rafa started to dominate everyone including Federer in clay this year.He was on a song and in stupendous form.

nice man-vadhagiri

When we were new to this area, vadhagiri and his family helped us a lot....... They used to call me frequently to their home and offer some sweets and make fun of me. Myself and my mom like going to their home and have fun there... Even their family members are cool to behave with.. though they are rich, they will never show off and help everyone ...vadhagiri used to take me a ride in bike to nearby shop. But now we lost him:-(.. His wife's future became a question mark??no one console her. just newly married couples and she is pregnant too. His mom is a child specialist and his father doing business. Though they have all facilities, nothing is valued without his son. I could feel their feelings. Really sad.. How can they digest this loss? How can i comfort them? I am worried that i am helpless in this issue. Soon they should forget his loss and be normal, atleast for child (yet to come)... But nothing could compensate him other than his child......We all miss him a lot.. We all love you, uncle:-( And we will be a great support to his family forever... We pray God for their welfare...

My neighbour died:-(

Soon after i woke up , my dad informed me that our neighbour house uncle, vadhagiri, expired....He is just 26 years old.. newly married.. His wife is pregnant( around six months, appr).. Its really shocking for all of us. None of us expect this bad news. Actually he went in bike with his friend yesterday.. He had some documentation work to finish regarding getting a new land of five acres. While returning his friend compelled him to give company to bar. Initially he rejected to come but because of his friend's compulsion, he was in a condition to have drinks. It seems the intake is high and that made him to lose his consciousness. Instead of taking rest for sometime , vadhagiri and his friend were riding the bike.. Moreover it was 12 noon... So hot outside.. And near the junction , they lost their control and crashed against a lorry coming in front.... Vadhargiri was severly injured... Heavy blood loss from for-head and from chest.. his friend escaped with mild injury. Vadhagiri was admitted in hospital but of no use..... Finally we all lost him.. Though we hear lots of news about the ill effects of "drunk and drive", many of them ignore it and keep going on their own track ....... Wont they think of the consequences?
